A quick overnight on the Lone Star Trail to test my newly healed toe and some of the toys I ordered while I was laid up. I hiked in 3/4 mile on the Lone Star Trail and camped on the banks of Lake Conroe. I had big plans for a long hike in the morning, but made the mistake of planning a hike that passed by my car. Note to self: that doesn’t work!
Blackberries! They’ll all be ripe next weekend if the Memorial Day hikers don’t get them first.

The two pound Mantis hammock by Kammock. 
Inside are the hammock and hanging hardware, tree straps, tarp, lines and stakes. Everything. Really. TWO pounds! 
I hung the tarp first. It made the hammock hanging a bit clumsy, but I wanted to know I could do under the tarp in the rain if I had to. 
It’s a two story condo! Bedroom upstairs and garage downstairs.

I had to do something to entertain myself while I was injured, so I shopped online. Here’s the little 5 ounce wood-burning stove that fits in my ti pot.

I wish now that I’d turned around and taken a look at the back of this car. It was driven by a couple of young hooligans, so I’m pretty sure it’s not about breast cancer awareness. The kitty cat on front, and those suspicious flaps in the back…I’m about half afraid it’s a vagina in back.
